Digital TV Troubleshooting
If you are having issues with your Digital TV service, try the following:
Reboot the DSL modem first. Wait a few minutes for the modem to come up and sync fully (this may take 3-5 minutes).
Reboot your set-top boxes; one at a time, making sure your modem is fully synced prior to doing so. Make sure each set-top box comes up completely before rebooting any additional set-top boxes.
If you see a blue screen, "snow" or "static", check to make sure your TV/VCR is on the right channel (either 3 or 4) or on the correct input (Video 1 or 2 or 3, depending upon your particular setup). Also check your cable connections to make sure they are secure and that the cable is in good condition and not damaged.
If you see an Error message on the screen, write down the following and call Support:
- The Error Code number
- The Error Code description
- Know whether or not the error is occurring on one set-top box or on all set-top boxes
- Know whether or not the issue is occurring on one channel or on all channels
